FRAMO PUMPS OPERATION

Course Description:

This course on FRAMO pumps operation cover the information required or needed by the personnel who works with this equipment on board. The modules enumerated below shall be given appropriate time allocation for theoretical that guides them in the preparation for practical application of the equipment.

The information identified in this course shall prepare the trainees to perform and deliver the necessary skills and competencies for the safe operation of equipment and for the protection of marine environment as well. The modules will touch on equipment’s operational knowledge and maintenance such as the principle of FRAMO pumps, design of pumps, portable FRAMO pumps, hydraulic system of FRAMO, system of hydraulic air venting, purging routine, loading, discharge, stripping and tank cleaning procedure.

Candidates: Open for deck officers. with a minimum numbers of (8) participants and                       with a maximum numbers of (20) participants.
