BASIC WELDING AND FABRICATION

Course Description:

This course on basic welding and fabrication is designed to upgrade and enhance the skill or competency of engine personnel and deck ratings in maintaining the vessel for its safe operation. The modules enumerated below shall be given appropriate time allocation both for lecture or theoretical preparation and for practical application of competencies. The modules will touch on ships maintenance such as Workshop Safety practices; Basic arc Welding, Gas Welding and Cutting; Use of Workshop tools, Gauges and Measuring Instruments; Pipe Fitting and the actual fabrication development.

• Workshop Tools, Gauges and Measuring Instruments
• Welding and Gas Cutting Procedure
• Pipe Fittings

Candidates: Open for all engine personnel. with no minimum numbers of participants and with a                      maximum numbers of (5) participants.

Course Duration: 2 Weeks
